We want to be crystal clear about what we never collect, access, or store:

• Your recordings — All audio recordings remain 100% on your device
• Your transcriptions — All transcripts are stored locally on your machine
• Your meeting content — We never see, access, or process your meeting data
• Your AI conversations — Chats with your transcripts stay on your device
• IP addresses — We do not log or store your IP address
• Cookies or tracking pixels — We do not use cookies or similar tracking technologies in the application
• Device identifiers — We do not collect unique device IDs
• Location data — We do not track your location

2.3 Aggregated Usage Data

We collect minimal, anonymized, and aggregated usage data solely to improve the Trilla application. This includes:

• General feature usage patterns (e.g., which features are most popular)
• Application crash reports and error logs (without personal data)
• General performance metrics

This data is fully anonymized and cannot be used to identify individual users. It is used exclusively to identify bugs, improve performance, and enhance the user experience.

3. How We Use Your Information

The limited information we collect is used exclusively for the following purposes:

• Delivering the application — Sending you the download link when you request it
• Essential communications — Notifying you of critical security updates or service changes
• Improving Trilla — Using aggregated, anonymized data to fix bugs and enhance features

We do not use your email address for marketing purposes, promotional materials, or newsletters unless you explicitly opt in to receive such communications.

We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise share your personal information with any third parties. Period.

We do not share data with:

• Analytics providers (beyond our own anonymized metrics)

4.1 Your API Keys and Third-Party Services

If you choose to use cloud-based AI services (such as OpenAI, Anthropic, or Deepgram) with Trilla, you do so by providing your own API keys. Any data transmitted to these services is sent directly from your device to the respective provider — it does not pass through our servers. Your use of these third-party services is governed by their respective privacy policies, not ours.

Alternatively, you may use Trilla with 100% local models (such as Ollama or LMStudio), in which case no data ever leaves your device.

5. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect the limited personal information we collect. However, the most effective security measure we employ is simply not collecting your sensitive data in the first place.

Your recordings, transcriptions, and meeting content are stored locally on your device and encrypted using your operating system's native security features. We have no access to this data and cannot retrieve it even if requested.

6. Data Retention

We retain your email address only for as long as necessary to provide you with the Trilla service. If you wish to have your email address removed from our records, please contact us at [email protected], and we will delete it within 30 days.

Aggregated usage data is retained indefinitely but cannot be linked to any individual user.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, including:
